Singer, songwriter, producer and television star, Brian McFadden, releases two new singles to radio this Friday 3rd June. The party track ‘Come Party’ and the reflective ballad ‘That’s How Life Goes’ will be released as a double A side. On choosing to release a double A side, McFadden says “to be honest we couldn’t decide which song to go with. I feel that both songs show the different sides of me so perfectly, it just felt right to release them”.

Both songs were co-written by McFadden in Los Angeles in December last year, with ‘Come Party’ featuring Los Angeles born-rapper Lavay Cole. Raised in the heart of south central LA, Lavay turned to rapping and dancing at a young age to escape from the drugs, poverty and violence that surrounded him. Having worked with Black Eyed Peas and more recently commissioned by the Weinstein Company to write and perform on the soundtrack to Disney movie Hoodwinked Two, Lavay dreams of one day opening up a dance studio for underprivileged children and says he is “proud of this song and working with McFadden”.

On the flip side, ‘That’s How Life Goes’ takes McFadden back into ballad territory but as he states, “I never intentionally wanted to release a ballad but this song flowed out so organically that it felt almost therapeutic to write and I like to think everyone can relate to the lyrics”.
Filmed in Queensland, the video is a continual story which runs over five minutes. Part one features Lavay who arrived on his virgin flight out of Central LA for ‘Come Party’. Part two features the stunning Australian top model Avril Alexander in ‘That’s How Life Goes’.

“I have to say I’m in a really great space musically and I’m enjoying music more than I ever have at the moment, and I look forward to nothing better than getting the songs out there and hearing them on radio and having people relate to them ”.

Brian was interview by Jackie Quist for Today Tonight where he talks about his recent split from Delta Goodrem and we get a sneak peek of his upcoming new double A-side singles, “Come Party” and “That’s How Life Goes,” due for release next week.

BRIAN McFadden has wished ex-fiancee Delta Goodrem all the best with her new romantic life.

McFadden said the singer, 26, told him she was going on a date with 18-year-old Nick Jonas before they were photographed in Los Angeles last week.

“It’s fine, you see it (the photo) and accept it for what it is,” McFadden said yesterday. “If I didn’t like it I would have said something or cracked it on Twitter.”

McFadden has also dismissed rumours Goodrem dumped him – saying they had simply grown apart after seven years.

“I’m a hothead, if I was dumped everyone would have known about it,” he said, adding that he’s ready to look for a new relationship.

“I’m definitely ready to go out on dates, I just haven’t got time. Most of my time is spent with the boys.”

McFadden spent yesterday in Brisbane filming two videos for his double-A side single Come Party and That’s How Life Goes, released next month.

This decision has been made with a lot of soul searching from both parties with the realisation that they have grown apart. Given that your previous two albums have been more acoustic based, have you found it strange performing WALL OF SOUNDZ live?
Not really. I find it more exciting as the mood of the show is a lot more high energy and you can really feel it in the room,

Do you feel the IRISH SON album still reflects who you are? If not, which of your albums is most indicative of who are you are and what you stand for?
Irish son lyrically will always reflect who i am as it is autobiographical. Set In Stone and Wall of Soundz are more abstracted from other peoples lives around me with the occasional piece of my life in it.
 
Which out of all the songs you’ve written and/or recorded is your all-time favourite and why?
It’s very hard to pick one song…. on the first album it would probably be Demons just for its epicness – The live orchestra the dark production. On the new album its gotta be WASTED, which you wouldn’t have heard yet. It’s a song thatI have listened to more than any other song i have ever written (I’m talking 15 times in a row everyday for 4 months).

You have done a couple of collaborations on your album WALL OF SOUNDZ – who else would you like to work with?
There’s no one in particular I want to work with right now. I think these moments just happen and it’s better not to force them.

In light of your new album WALL OF SOUNDZ, what inspired you to change your style of music?
Rob and I were just playing around and experimenting with the Wall of Soundz when it quickly transformed from experiment to side project to full blown solo record. So really it was us messing around that inspired me. I guess it was that jumping out of that comfort zone and landing in a place that actually became a lot more comfortable than any other sound I had before.

What did you find most difficult about the transition from being in a group to being a solo artist?
Responsibility! Going from pretty much just turning up in the studio and doing vocals for two weeks and the record is done to now having to work every piece and create every piece of the record from the writing of the songs, to the producing, to the artwork and now as far as even the videos too.

REAL TO ME is a great song that offers an insight into the world of Brian and behind your massive celebrity status in Britain. The song was written to a very different time in your life compared to now. What would you say reflects the real you now?
There isn’t really one song I have right now that sums up my life at this moment in time the same as how Real To Me did at that particular time. Maybe that should be my next song to write… Real To Me 2011.

Can you tell us more about the repackaged WALL OF SOUNDZ album coming out in the future? We know about the new songs 2999 and WASTED. What else can you tell us?
Note: This doesn’t look like it is happening anymore, Brian will be releasing a brand new album this year. We wonder if Wasted and 2999 will be on the new album?

It’s all a bit muddy at the moment. Basically just after we released Wall of Soundz was released, I wrote 2 new songs that everyone was going crazy for 2999 and Wasted. So we decided to repackage the album and put these on as both these songs are my next 2 singles so it made sense to re pack the album rather than people having to wait for a whole new record to be finished.

What is the most proudest moment of your career and why?
I have had many incredible moments in my career. But! W wake up everyday and believe the greatest moments are yet to come.
